Suspended and Abandoned Projects

Don’t be ghosting us!

We’ve all been there. Like dating, we don’t want you to go MIA on us, and you’d also expect the same from us.

When working on your website project, we respond within 24 hours to any question. Usually, it’s a lot sooner than that. We expect the same response on revisions and questions to keep the project going on time. In the worst-case scenario, you have 48 hours.

Suppose work on a project is delayed more than one month due to the client’s inability to provide content, images, media or other items necessary for the completion of the project. In that case, the project shall be considered suspended. At that time, an invoice for the remaining project balance shall be sent and considered due upon receipt.

MERLINFX PTY LTD WILL ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE CLIENT BY PHONE AND/OR EMAIL DURING THE FIRST MONTH BEFORE PROJECT SUSPENSION. ONCE A PROJECT IS CONSIDERED SUSPENDED, IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT TO REACTIVATE THE PROJECT BY (1) SUPPLYING ALL ITEMS NECESSARY TO COMPLETE THE PROJECT AND (2) PAYING THE BALANCE OF THE PROJECT IN FULL.

After a project is considered suspended, we will not perform any additional work on the project.

If all the required materials are provided, and the project balance is paid in full more than two months after the project is considered suspended, a new proposal of services shall be created to complete the remaining scope of the project. The balance paid when the project was suspended shall be considered a credit against the cost specified in this new proposal.

If all the required materials have not been provided and/or the project balance has not been paid in full within four months of the project being considered suspended, the project shall be deemed abandoned, and any monies paid to us for the project shall be forfeited.
